Residents of Gomoa Buduatta and its environs are in a great shock as land guards with guns attacked a sand winning pitch and bolted with their money and mobile phones.

According one of the resident, Bob, a sand winning contractor based in Budumburam lamented that one Nkosuohene in the community came into the pitch with land guards and started firing guns. He added that they were beaten mercilessly till blood started oozing from their mouths and nostrils.

According to Bob, his three mobile phones, an amount of seven hundred and thirty Ghana cedis [GHc730] and eight hundred Ghana cedis [GHc800.00] belonging to his colleague sand winner was taken from them.

There have been other allegations citing the Nkosuohene popularly known as Alpha to be behind the land guard activities in the area.

The residents complained that ever since Alpha was crowned Nkosuohene of Gomoa Buduatta, they have never known peace in the community.
