Man believed to be in his early 40s has been arrested for allegedly exhuming a Queen mother’s corpse at Ekumfi Gyinankoma in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.
The suspect, Kojo Essel who is from Agona Swedru and his accomplice who is currently on the run were seen digging out the Queen mother’s corpse at the Community’s cemetery on Saturday, February 19, 2022 midnight.
An eyewitness, a hunter in the community said he saw the two suspects in the cemetery exhuming the Queen mother’s corpse from the grave.
According to the hunter, he marched the suspect to the Chief’s palace for questioning.
Items retrieved from the suspects include, cutlass, shovel, pinch bar, pick axe and hammer.
