A farmer has shot his girlfriend for demanding an increment in housekeeping money.
A 35-year-old farmer has fired shots at his 48-year-old girlfriend for demanding an increase in housekeeping money.
The incident happened at Breman Nkonya in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District of the Central Region.
The suspect, who is on the run, Kwame alias Otwea Amokua, reportedly fired the shot at Nkrumah and his girlfriend over a misunderstanding over chop money.
The girlfriend was only demanding an increment in chop money as the amount given to her isn’t enough due to the constant rise in prices of consumer goods in the market.
She is currently at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, with the suspect nowhere to be found.
The Ghana Police Service have, however, retrieved the weapon Kwame used.
