Residents of Ekumfi Aburam in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region were thrown into a state of shock when a 65-year-old man took his own life.
Reports say, members of the household heard the sound of a gunshot only to discover that the deceased, Emmanuel Abrokwa has shot himself to death in an uncompleted building.
The wife, Madam Mary Abakah said she was alarmed by the unfortunate incidence since the deceased never had any issue with anyone.
Ekumfi Aburam Police confirmed that they received a distress call from the residents that the deceased had shot himself in the stomach when his family members had left home.
The police then proceeded to the uncompleted building where they found the body lying in a pool of blood.
The body has been deposited at the Saltpond Government Hospital morgue.
