A 34-year-old truck conductor (mate), Eric Ackon has killed a mother of four after running over her while he was learning how to drive at Assin Fosu in the Central Region.
Eric is said to have lost control of the vehicle and tragically ran over 40-year-old Gladys Mensah who was hawking second-hand clothes and boxer shorts by the roadside near the SDA School at Habitat, a suburb of Assin Fosu.
The incident happened on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at around 11:00 when the suspect driver, Benjamin Kwarfo, 26, was teaching, Eric how to drive a Hyundai truck with registration number GR 6146-12.
