Two neighbours at Twifo Eduabeng in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa district of the Central region have met their untimely death after being electrocuted.
The sad incident happened when one of the deceased, Diana Nti, 20 years old, was drying her clothes after washing them on a drying line believed to have been connected to a live electrical wire in the house.
According to sources, immediately after Diana hung the wet cloth on the line, she got electrocuted and suddenly fell to the ground.
Unfortunately, her next-door neighbour Agnes Oforiwaa Agyeiwaa, 41, who had no knowledge about the cause of Diana’s fall, also came out of her room to rescue her.
Upon touching Diana, who was full of electric power, she also got electrocuted, resulting in her untimely death.
The bodies have, however, been deposited at the Twifo Praso district hospital morgue for preservation while the district police command begins investigations into the matter.
