A 30-year-old washing bay attendant, Kofi Eric, tragically lost his life after being electrocuted in Kasoa, near the Hisense Showroom in the Awutu Senya East Municipality, on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Reports indicate that Kofi, as he was commonly known, was washing a tipper truck at the washing bay near the Kasoa Okrudu Bridge when the fatal accident happened.
While using a pipe gun to clean the vehicle, the truck accidentally made contact with a live, exposed wire, leading to the electrocution.
In the aftermath of the incident, the owner of the washing bay reportedly fled the scene, fearing police repercussions.
Kofi’s body has been taken to the Ngleshie Amanfro Polyclinic for an autopsy. The police are yet to make an arrest relating to the case.
