A 35-year-old woman living at Kasoa in the Central Region has shared that she was forced to cut off her wedding ring due to swelling in her finger.
The married woman, Faustina Richster, nearly got her swollen finger chopped off just after a day of putting the ring on.
She disclosed that she bought the ring from a friend who sells rings after she lost her original wedding ring some months ago.
Mrs. Faustina Richster described the pain as unbearable, as all efforts to remove the stuck ring from her ring finger yielded no results.
According to her, she lathered soap around his finger in an attempt to make the ring slip out, but without success.
She indicated that it took the intervention of medical officers from Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital and pastors before the ring was finally removed.
