The lifeless body of Maame Esi Badua, a 65-year-old farmer has been found on her farm under some bizarre circumstance.

The deceased was said to have left home on Sunday morning around 9:30 am to her farm at Assin Atintan near Assin Breku in the Assin North District in the Central Region but did not return after several hours.

The family informed the chiefs and opinion leaders at the town in which a search party was organised to look for her.

Speaking to the media, the Assemblyman for the area, Mr Charles Saasi said the deceased lifeless body was eventually found buried with her head cut off and her intestines removed.

He added that the body was cut into three pieces and buried in separate places with the head sent away by the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, a woman who happens to be a friend of the deceased was shocked about the unfortunate incident, however, described the deceased as very vibrant and hardworking, she said as tears were flowing from his eyes.

The Acting Chief of Assin Breku, Nana Kotroka Frimpong Baah II, speaking in an interview said this is the third time in just a single month recording such incident.

The chief said this development has brought fear and panic among residents and farmers in the area.

He, therefore, called on the Inspector-General of Police to beef up security in the area.

The Assin Breku police visited the scene of the incident and conveyed the body parts to St. Francis Xavier Hospital Morgue in Assin Fosu for autopsy and preservation while investigation commences.
