Charles Oko, a 57- year- old farmer is battling for his life at Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital after a colleague farmer inflicted cutlass wounds on him to coma on a farm at Awutu Bereku in the Central Region.

The incident happened on Tuesday January 24, 2023.

Information gathered by Kasapa FM indicates that Mame Yaa Yaa, the suspect accused the victim of destroying her Cassava plantation with weeds that he gathered after weeding his farm.

The victim is said to have admitted the allegations against him by the suspect and rendered an apology.

However, the suspect refused to accept the apology resulting in a heated argument.

In the ensuing argument, the suspect started butchering Charles Oko the victim with a sharpened cutlass and left the scene after seeing the man unconscious.

However, some hunters found the victim in a pool of blood and rushed him to the Awutu Bereku Hospital but later referred to the Winneba Trumar and Specialist Hospital for treatment due to his critical condition.

The case has been reported at Awutu Bereku District Police Command.

Police are on a manhunt for the suspect who is on the run
