Canada has expressed its commitment to strengthen its partnership with Ghana and the African continent at large for mutual benefit at all levels.
The High Commissioner of Canada to Ghana, H.E. Martine Moreau made this known when she paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong.
During the meeting, H.E. Martine Moreau informed that her country is refocusing on reviewing its engagements with African countries and institutions to further strengthen partnerships at the global, regional, or national level.
She added that this was to identify areas of mutual interest and to promote win-win partnerships.
Hon. Ampratwum-Sarpong in his remarks, welcomed the initiative and urged for the strengthening of cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, health, education and skills development, agriculture, peace and security, and climate change amongst others.
He further urged the Canadian business community to collaborate with their Ghanaian counterparts for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
