Acting rector of St. Stephen Rectorate, Bodomase in the Ashanti Region, Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, has apologized to the Catholic Church for singing King Paluta’s “Aseda“ during service.
A viral video surfaced online with members of St. Stephen Rectorate and their priest, Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, singing and dancing to “Aseda” which has caught netizens’ reactions.
However, in a statement signed by Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, apologized stating that, his actions has caused a lot of harm, especially singing such a song in a sacred place like the church.
“I realise now that my mistake has caused offence and confusion, and for that, I am truly sorry.”
“I offer my sincerest apologies to our Bishop, the Diocese, the National Liturgical Commission and the entire Catholic community for any offence or scandal caused by my action”, he stated.
