The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) says the cause of the fire incident at the Police Headquarters on Thursday February 9, 2023 is yet to be identified.

The Police Headquarters in Accra recorded a fire outbreak in one of the buildings at the premises on Thursday morning.

According to the GNFS, its quick response to the incident prevented the fire from spreading to other buildings.

Although no casualties were recorded except damaged walls, broken glass windows and some other contents in the affected building, the cause of the fire is yet to be discovered.

The fire is said to have started at about 9:00 am and was brought under control and finally knocked out at about 10:37 am.
