The Executive Director of Alliance for Good Governance, Samuel K. Ofori Damien has appealed to President Akufo-Addo to crack the whip and sack any nominee of his government who seeks to over shadow his administration with their selfish parochial interest.
According to him, the Akufo-Addo second term administration is too young for such recent ragging debate over who becomes what after him (Akufo-Addo) finishes his term.
He opined that, the good people of Ghana have signed a four year social contract with the Akufo-Addo led NPP government and will judge them after their tenure elapses.
“So what we expect the so-called presidential materials to do, is to channel their energies and riched ideas ( if they have) to fix the recent intermittent power cuts, alleviate poverty that is arrogantly facing us, create sustainable jobs for the teeming unemployed youths, fight cyber crime, abolish fuel prices hikes, solve cocoa farmers plight, deplorable roads, poor sanitation, so-called affordable housing but not deficit, insecurity, distorted history, Kwashiokor health system instead etc. Since no one born by man can predetermined the future of the NPP now.” He stated
He added that, the performance of president Akufo-Addo will give the Ghanaian voter a clear conscience to decide who becomes what after Akufo-Addo.
He then urged the NPP leadership to also be proactive at this crucial time to apply the dictates of their party’s constitution to ensure discipline, compliance and sanity to avoid possible break down of the ranks and file of the party’s grassroot.
