The Chief Executive Officer of Cherryfield Montessori School, Ms. Magdalene Dzifa Adzanu, has stated that the school is one of the best start-up schools in Ga West Municipality.
The school which is located at Kwabena-Pokuase ACP Junction offer courses such as swimming, reading club, creative arts club, maths and science club, drama club, karate lesson and piano lesson.
At this year’s ‘Rep your Jersey Day’ observed last Friday, June 15, 2021, Ms Adzanu, revealed that sports is an integral part of every human beings life which help to build the confidence level of school children to learn how to accept defeat.
She added that, sports also help school children to realize that, it is not about only winning a game.
“You may win or lose and it forms part of the beauty of sports whilst at the same time, it shows the children how to be sports women or sports men.” She added
Ms. Magdalene Dzifa Adzanu made this statement during activities to mark the school usual annual sports day.
She indicated that, Cherryfield Montessori is noted for a holistic education.
She noted that the sports activities was planned to represent the various football clubs that the school children cherished as the students wear Jerseys of the various clubs they love.
“As Cherryfield always gives a holistic education to it’s children, today, we decided to take a break from our academic activities to have funs. Though, it is a fun activities for us, we still try to learn from it because, sports is very good for every human being”.
Mr. Benjamin Kooson, staff of Cherryfield Montessori school pointed out that, sports does not only help the school children physically but also, help them mentally likewise, helping the teachers to identify talents among the children.
