Cherryfield Montessori School, Pokuase has won the 2021 GA West Basic Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (BSTEM) Quiz Competition.
Cherryfield Montessori School polled 67 marks as against its closest contender, ST. Joseph Basic which garnered 50.5 marks to win 2021 GA West Municipal BSTEM Quiz Competition to lift the ultimate trophy.
According to CEO of Cherryfield Montessori School, Madam Magdalene Dzifa Adzanu, sleepless nights by teachers and parents to win the competition has paid off and “we are very excited”.
Speaking to the Republic Press after the 2021 GA West Municipal BSTEM Quiz Competition, Madam Magdalene Dzifa Adzanu called on the Education minister to tend its attention to the study of Science, Mathematics and ICT in the basic school level across the country to groom young one’s who have passion in such areas.
She added that government should provide laboratories to basic schools for the practical study of science in the basic school level.
Cherryfield Montessori School (CMS) won 2021 GA West BSTEM Quiz Competition for Private Schools finals after it polled 108.5 marks as against its closest contender Child Care and Development Centre which managed to garner 92 marks to occupy the second position.
Contestants who put up the splendid performance to make the Pokuase ACP-based Cherryfield Montessori School proud include Jude Obadai Mensah-Daapah, Lawrencia Amoako, Daniel Owusu-Boateng and Nana Kwasi Poku Boadu. They were on top of issues, sweeping most of their main and bonus marks, putting up strong fights against their competitors.
Cherryfield Montessori School won against three public schools namely : St. Sylvanus R/C Basic School, ST. Joseph Basic School and Nsakina M/A Basic School on Friday August 13, 2021 to lift the ultimate trophy.
