The National Labor Commission has said, the CLOGSAG, by the end of the day may withdraw or call off its procedural nationwide strike as the matters of the association has been attempted and engaged by the government from the last three days till now.
According to the Executive Secretary of the National Labor Commission, Mr. Ofosu Asamoah who spoke in an interview with Kwame Koranteng on Anɔpa Dawuro on Republic FM said, per the information reaching his outfit from reliable sources, though its not confirmed, the government through the ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and the office of the senior advisor to the President are engaging the CLOGSAG executives to address the issues and return the civil service personnel to work.
“I’m convinced there is development from the ministry of Employment and Labor Relations and the office of the senior advisor to the President together with the leaders of the CLOGSAG. Though I haven’t received an official letter, reliable sources indicates that there has been series of engagement between the parties involved and so by the close of the day, the CLOGSAG may withdraw their strike” he said
Responding to questions on the National Labor Commission hasn’t and proactive after the CLOGSAG sent signals across the airwaves on their intended nationwide strike on Monday, January 17, 2022, he said, the NLC has been very proactive and has addressed a number of issues before its gets to its peak. Its said, it has solved issues of the Doctors, Hospital Anesthetics, UTAG and college of Education teachers.
According to him, within a week, the National Labor Commission can record about fifty (50) cases.
“ Kwame, as a commission we can record about fifty (50) case a day. Its not like we’re not working, we have been very proactive, other than that we wouldn’t have been at this stage. The work has been very tedious, and it’s very expansive, we are doing our best”.
