Ghana Premier League team, Medeama SC has announced that they have officially agreed to terminate the contract with head coach David Duncan.
The former assistant coach of the Black Stars took charge of the Tarkwa-based club in September this year, before the start of the 2022/2023 betPawa Ghana Premier League season, and just after four months, he has ended his one-year contract with the club.
Medeama is now 11th on the league table after having a poor run under coach Duncan, winning one out of five games.
A statement released by the club said: “Medeama Sporting Club and Head Coach David Duncan today parted company on mutual ground.
“Duncan joined the Mauve and Yellow in September 2022, signing a one-year contract.”
“However, circumstances mean both parties have reached an agreement to go separate ways after four months.”
“The experienced gaffer supervised five Ghana Premier League matches during his tenure.”
“On behalf of everyone at Medeama SC, the Club would like to place on record its gratitude to David Duncan for his efforts during his time with the club and wish him well in his future endeavour.”
However, Umar Rabi, the team’s deputy coach, will serve as temporary coach until a substantive is appointed.
