The Colombian Ambassador to Ghana, Claudia Turbay Quintero has paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament, Hon. Bryan Acheampong.
She requested Ghana to join the Pacific Alliance with Peru, Chile, and Mexico established since 2011 as an observer.
She indicated that as part of the Panafest, she is bringing a citizen of Colombia of African decent to Ghana for experience sharing.
She assured the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament of her country’s continued support for the youth of Ghana in creating more jobs and education opportunities.
On issues of security and state of refugees from Venezuela, Ms Claudia Turbay Quintero said there has been a tremendous improvement.
On his part, the Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament, Hon Bryan Acheampong thanked the Ambassador and her assistant for the meeting and assured her that there will be further opportunity for deeper interaction at all levels.
