The leadership of GPRTU says President Nana Akufo Addo has called on the Coalition of Commercial Transport Operators to suspend their indefinite nationwide strike.
According to the leadership of GPRTU, the president has therefore called on leadership of the driver Unions for an emergency meeting at the Jubilee house.
The Coalition says the government for the past two weeks has failed to heed their calls for some taxes to be scrapped off hence the decision to embark on the sit-down strike.
Speaking to the media, a representative of the group and Communications team member for the Ghana Private Road Transport Union, Eric Nii Asirifi has called on to all drivers to go back to work with immediate effect.
“All drivers are to go to work now.” The Statement noted
