The Controller and Accountant General has directed all Cap 30 Pension Associations, including Veterans Administration Ghana (VAG) to be validating their members quarterly and forward the returns to it for their monthly pension pay.
According to the Controller and Accountant General, “If a military veteran or a military widow who receives government pension but does not join a Veterans Administration, Ghana (VAG) district from where the quarterly validation will be taking place, he or she risks being taken off the Controller and Accountant General’s Pay Roll because you will be deemed dead”.
The department announced this in a statement dated March 27, 2024.
It is therefore urging all military veterans and military widows to look for the nearest VAG District and get registered with them in order to receive what is due them.
