An Accra Circuit Court has discharged seven out of nine protesters from the Democracy Hub movement who were arraigned on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
During the proceedings, State Attorney Amanda Awadi announced that the Republic had decided to discontinue the case against the seven protesters: Kingsley Asiedu, Seth Cofie, Vera Gloria Louis, Nii Quaye Hammond, Manuel Biney, Dorsese Joseph, and Ernest Acheampong.
Awadi also indicated that a new charge sheet would be filed against the remaining two accused individuals.
The case has been adjourned to November 21, 2024, for further proceedings.
