It would be recalled that earlier, an Adenta Circuit Court, had according to a misleading media report, restrained the organizers from holding the “All White/All Black Attire Party”.

One of the organizers of the Party, Francis Ayenu of ROB Definitions, had through his lawyers, reportedly sought an interlocutory injunction to restrain the other organizers from holding the hugely popular Party which has been organized very peacefully over the years by the Akwaaba Group.

But an Accra High Court, presided over by Justice Mariama Sammo, on December 22, 2023, dismissed the interlocutory injunction application by Francis Ayenu to stop the Party from being held on January 1, 2024.

In a Court document, Justice Sammo, giving reasons for rejecting the relief sought by Francis Ayenu, said “I have thoroughly examined the case of both parties in the dispute.

I have also been of the competing rights of the parties for justice.”

According to Justice Sammo, “After my evaluation of the evidence in support of and in opposition to the application, I am unable to exercise my judicial discretion in favour of the relief being sought.”

The experienced judge was of the view that “the defendants/respondents would suffer greater hardship if the application is granted.”

The judge, in her concluding remarks, therefore noted that “In the circumstance, the motion on notice for interlocutory injunction is hereby refused”.

Meanwhile, executives of Akwaaba Group who are all peace-loving individuals have assured the general public that the “All White or All Black Attire Party” will be held peacefully once again in January.

The “All White/All Black Attire Party” has traditionally been a very peaceful and fun event and certainly January 1, 2024 will be no different.

The organizers, Michael Ayenu Mensah popularly known as DJ Mensah and Dennis Tawiah, promised to make the party a truly entertaining and memorable event for residents in Accra.

Meanwhile, tickets are still on sale for Accra’s most popular “Casa Black & Casa white Party”.
