The Sekondi High Court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, the Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency.
The commercial division of the High Court wants the Member of Parliament arrested for disrespecting the law court over her dual-citizenship case.
Her Ladyship Sedina Agbemeve, the presiding Judge on her appeal case issued the warrant as the Member of Parliament have failed to produce evidence of the renouncement of her Ivorian citizenship.
On September 23, the court ordered her to produce documents which backs her claims that she renounced her Ivory Coast citizenship before contesting for Member of Parliament in Ghana.
From 23rd September till date, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey has been evading court sitting to the dissatisfaction of the judge.

A law suit has been filed at the Sekondi High Court against Dorcas Affo-Toffey concerning her citizenship.
According to the plaintiff the Member of Parliament of Jomoro has Ivorian and UK passports aside her Ghanaian passport.
The newly elected NDC MP did not renounce her Ivorian and UK citizenship before filling to contest the Jomoro parliamentary seat according to the law suit.
This is the 2nd NDC MP to be slapped with the citizenship lawsuit with the law of Ghana stating categorically clear that one needs to be a full Ghanaian to be able to serve in Parliament.
Former NPP MP for Bawku Central Alhaji Adamu Dramani Sakende was booted of out of Parliament when a the law court found him guilty in similar law suit.
