The Konongo-Odumasi District Court presided over by Her Worship Joyce Bamfo has remanded the five students of the Konongo Odumasi Senior High school for allegedly murdering of a colleague student.
They were remanded for seven days and will be kept at the Juaso juvenile detention center.
The students are standing trial in connection with the stabbing of a 15-year-old first-year student on Friday 5th November 2021.
The suspects allegedly went on bullying spree on Friday night after prep hours leading to the attack on the deceased, Sam’un Larhan.
Police investigation indicated that the suspects who are form two students of Konongo Odumase Senior High school went on a bullying spree on the night of Friday, November 5, 2021 after prep hours leading to the attack on the deceased, Samuna Larhan, aged 17.
The victim was rushed to the Konongo Odumase Government Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to the Police, they are in contact with the family of the deceased and providing them with all the necessary support.
Meanwhile, the Police have contacted the leadership of the Ghana education Service [GES] to work together to develop a a sensitisation programme on criminal offences for students and staff of all the schools to avert such avoidable occurrences.
