The Effutu Municipality Health Directorate in the Central Region of Ghana have reported that there have been a recorded case of twelve (12) people who have died from the coronavirus pandemic from January to August, 2021.
According to the Municipal Health Promotion Officer, Mrs Deborah Drah, a total number of eighteen (18) people have died since the Municipal recorded its first case when the virus broke out in March 2020.
She added that there has been a number of recorded cases shooting over thousand nine hundred and ninety-five (1,995), with suspected cases of four hundred and seventy-five (475) and eight (8) confirmed cases.
Therefore, she is urging the general public to obey the COVID-19 safety protocols in the Central Region and Ghana in general.
As of now, Central Region is on the number four (4) spot of regions with highest recorded cases of the pandemic in Ghana.
