The NDC covid-19 management team member, Gyehu Appiah has stated that per the petition filed to the President by the concerned Ghanaian Doctors, other countries and health professionals are expressing the same divergent views from the same progression.
Expressing his personal views on Obuoba FM, he said, it is very paramount that the team constitute a proper leadership to take a critical look at the petition being sent to the President.
According to him, he believes at this stage, the Presidency and the government covid-19 management team in crash with the Concerned Ghanaian Doctors will create confusion in the minds of Ghanaians.
In his assertions, he said, globally, people are raising the same concerns which the concerned Ghanaian Doctors which the Ghana Medical Association is also experiencing.
“Its not only Ghana, elsewhere in other countries, people are raising these same concerns. The Ghana Medical Association is experiencing this. They know”
He revered the fact that, there are two groups, which authority has been given to them including the Minister of Health and the Director General of Health.
In his submissions, he said, he shall not give premium to the minister of Health because his performance is abysmal as far as covid-19 is concerned.
Dr. Gyehu added that, the Ghana Health Service and the Presidency should tell the public, this is the country’s direction which will automatically serve as the mark of leadership. Additionally, all the submissions from the two parties are well galvanized but in an opposite direction which creates confusion in the minds of the people.
He quizzed why the covid-19 protocols that were initially put out by the are not being strictly adhered to. Secondly, his agitations are that, why are people refusing to take the vaccines if they say its has more importance?
“So why have we never stopped the strict adherence of the covid19 protocol?. Secondly, if they say the vaccines has more positive effects, why are people refusing to take vaccine? If we’re able to answer these questions, then we can have considered leadership decisions that this is the way we want to go”.
