The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has announced that the cross-examination of all accused individuals in the ongoing Northern Development Authority (NDA) procurement case has been concluded.
In an update shared on its official Facebook page, the OSP noted that the accused had issued subpoenas to staff of the Public Procurement Authority (PPA) and the Northern Development Authority (NDA) to testify in court.
The trial has now been adjourned to 25th and 26th November 2025 for continuation.
The OSP further revealed that, prior to the trial, it had blocked payment on a questionable contract and instructed the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to suspend any disbursement until the matter is fully resolved.
The accused — Sumaila Abdul-Rahman, former CEO of the NDA; Stephen Yir-Eru Engmen, former Deputy CEO (Operations); Patrick Seidu, former Deputy CEO (Finance and Administration); and Andrew Kuundaari, CEO of A&QS Consortium Limited — are facing allegations of manipulating procurement processes to gain an unfair advantage in the award of contracts under the NDA.
The case continues to draw attention as authorities work to ensure accountability and transparency in public procurement processes.
