The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) in collaboration with the West African Regional Training Centre (RTC) has sensitised some Senior High School students in the Greater Accra Region on Cyber Crime and Cyber security.
The beneficiary schools include the Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Achimota School, Accra Academy, St. Mary’s Senior High School and St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School.
The goal of the Cyber Security Awareness Workshop was to expose students to the positive and negative effects of the use of the internet and social media.
Further, the students were entreated to stay away from prohibited activities while using cyberspace and the legal implications of engaging in such acts.
EOCO expressed appreciation to the RTC for such an awesome collaboration and looks forward to partnering with all other stakeholders in the fight against cybercrime and ensuring a safe cyberspace for all.
