Prominent Kumawood producer,  Paul Gee has sparked massive outrage online after alleging that the late highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, owe him money.

This comes after Daddy Lumba passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, which has since thrown Ghana into mourning.

Following the musicians’s demise, Paul Gee, a renowned Kumawood movie producer, has opened up on an alleged debt the musician owe him.

Speaking in an interview monitored by Ghbase News, he claimed that he entered into a deal with the late musician that was not honoured.

According to him, he paid Lumba GH₵ 40,000 in 2012 for the rights to sell his Legacy and Legacy Ball appearance on DVD.

Paul Gee stated that after he made payment, Daddy Lumba sold the rights to another producer without refunding his money.

The producer noted that over the years, he made multiple attempts to retrieve his money but to no success and plans to visit Lumba’s family to inform them to settle the debt before the singer is buried.
