Daily Minimum Wage for 2021 increased from GH¢11.82 to ¢12.53

The government has announced an increase in Ghana’s daily minimum wage from GH¢11.82 to GH¢12.53 effective today, June 4, 2021.

The government has announced an increase in Ghana’s daily minimum wage from GH¢11.82 to GH¢12.53 effective today, June 4, 2021.

This is comes after concluded negotiations by the National Tripartite Committee (NTC) on the determination of the National Daily Minimum Wage.

The determination of the national minimum wage is in accordance with Section 113 (1) (a) of the Labour Act, 2003 (Act 651).

At the end of the meeting, it was also concluded that for the year 2022, National Daily Minimum Wage will be pegged at ¢13.53, an 8% increment on the 2021 figure.
