The rate at which pedestrians and motor riders plying the Accra-Tema motorway at the Adjei Kojo area of the Highway and Trassaco area have become a nuisance and a danger to most motorists.

Circulating images on social media and other digital platforms establish that, motorists plying the motorway have taken the law into their hands and interfering on the motorway.

This practice is causing several accidents and huge traffic on daily basis on the Accra Tema motorway every morning.

We are bringing this to the relevant authorities especially Ghana Police, Regional Minister and the MMDCEs in these jurisdictions to help put a stop to this menace. We can’t wait for another disaster to occur before we begin to sing songs of consolation and indulge in nationwide bereavement.

We therefore calling on the Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Henry Quartey to step in and bring to an end this indiscipline among civilians in the country.

I am not sure government can afford to listen to another mayhem after what happened at Apiate in the Western part of the country. Authorities must be up and doing, they must exercise their given authority to ensure things are properly done in the country. We cannot continue to live in this Country like a some sort of a Banana state.
