The Chief Executive Officer of Dansel Plumbing Works and Shop, Elder Daniel Essel, has donated essential items worth millions of cedis to the Sunyani Central Prisons as part of his commitment to supporting vulnerable groups in society.
The donation, which aims to improve the living conditions of inmates, included a bag of maize, a bag of gari, salt, and cartons of malt, among other items.
Elder Essel, known for his philanthropic activities, emphasized the importance of showing compassion to prisoners, noting that “they are not different from us; it’s circumstances that have brought them here.”
He assured the prison authorities of his continued support for the facility as part of his broader mission to assist orphanages and other institutions in need.
Receiving the items on behalf of the Sunyani Central Prisons, the Bono Regional Prisons Chaplain, Rev. Chief Superintendent Gideon Ndebugri, expressed gratitude for the thoughtful gesture.
He assured that the donated items would be used judiciously to enhance the comfort and welfare of the inmates.
Elder Essel’s donation underscores the critical role of private individuals and businesses in supporting societal institutions and promoting humane conditions for all, including those in correctional facilities.
