A middle-aged woman believed to be Chinese was robbed at gunpoint by an armed robber this afternoon at Avenor, a suburb of Accra.
The robbers who were on a motorbike, according to sources shot many times at the Toyota Prado in which the woman was driving until the woman was hit by bullets causing her to stop the vehicle in fear.
The robbers managed to bolt with an undisclosed amount whilst the woman lost two fingers as a result of the gunshots.
The source added that bystanders and good samaritans around sent the woman to a nearby hospital for treatment.
As at the time of filing this story, the victim is still at the hospital.
