Aspiring presidential candidate Kennedy Agyapong has called on his campaign team and supporters to remain calm and accept the results of the presidential primary.

Speaking to his team at his campaign office, Agyapong shared that as a veteran politician, he entered the race prepared for any outcome.

He noted that while his supporters always aimed for victory, he had consistently cautioned them that a seasoned politician must also prepare for the possibility of defeat—which is what ultimately transpired.

During his remarks, some disgruntled supporters began chanting, “No Ken, no vote.” Agyapong quickly intervened, asking them to stop and stressing that the party must respect the will of the delegates.

While acknowledging that his followers may feel dejected, he commended his team for their hard work and encouraged them to look toward the future of the party.

He emphasized the importance of reconciliation:”Do not use this against anybody in the party. Once they have decided, let’s all come together as party members and work together,” he stated.

Mr Agyapong reiterated that he has accepted the outcome because he had mentally prepared for all possibilities. He urged his supporters to keep hope alive, concluding with a reminder of the unpredictable nature of politics.

”Who knows what will happen tomorrow. We have to stay calm. The delegates have spoken and we have to take it.”
