A team from Aarhus Vand in the municipality of Aarhus, Denmark, recently visited Ghana to conduct hands-on training with staff at the Tema central district office of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL).

The training focused on how to use high-end technologies and management approaches to detect leakages and register reported cases of burst pipelines to reduce overall water loss in the system.

The GWCL hopes to replicate lessons learnt from Tema throughout Ghana.

The collaboration between GWCL and Aarhus Vand is part of the ongoing strategic sector cooperation between Aarhus municipality and Tema.
