The Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem, has inaugurated the new Board of Directors of SIC Savings and Loans Company Limited, with a strong call on members to institute effective measures to revive the company.
Addressing the newly sworn-in board, the Deputy Minister congratulated the members but cautioned that the challenges confronting SIC Savings and Loans are even more dire than those of its mother company, SIC Life.
He emphasized the need for the board to put in place strong governance structures and prudent management systems to ensure that state resources are not wasted if government extends support.
On his part, the newly appointed Board Chairman, Hon. Bede Ziedeng, MP, expressed gratitude to the President and the Minister for Finance for the trust and confidence reposed in them.
He assured that the board will not abuse the responsibility entrusted to them and pledged to steer the company towards recovery.
The newly inaugurated SIC Savings and Loans Board comprises:
