The mother of the Member of Parliament for Bodi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Sampson Ahi, has passed away.

It remains unclear what may contributed to the loss of the MP’s mother. However, Adom News correspondent, Augustine Boah indicated earlier that the incident occurred on Thursday, August 7, 2025.

The MP is yet to officially issue statement on the passing of his mother.

Mr. Ahi entered Parliament on January 7, 2005, representing the Juaboso constituency on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He served in that capacity until 2012, when he contested and won the newly created Bodi constituency, which he has represented to date.
