Deputy Works and Housing minister engages stakeholders ahead of BENCHH 2024

As part of preparations towards the maiden edition of the Built Environment National Conference on Housing and Hydrology (BENCHH) 2024, the Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and Chair of the Planning Committee, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah MP has been engaging with various stakeholders in the built, construction and finance sectors.

Discussions centered on how their respective partnership and expertise can be leveraged on to proffer sustainable solutions for the myriads of challenges in the housing and hydrology sub-sectors of the economy.

The 3-day Conference is expected to bring together renowned experts, industry players and other stakeholders to discuss, share insights, and craft innovative solutions aimed at fostering a more sustainable built environment sector in Ghana.

BENCHH 2024, scheduled to take place at the Labadi Beach Hotel from July 2 to July 4, 2024, and on the theme “Enhancing Collaboration to Tackle Ghana’s Housing and Hydrology Challenges”, is part of the Ministry’s commitment to addressing critical challenges confronting the housing and hydrology sub-sectors of the national economy.

The conference also represents an opportunity for stakeholders within Ghana’s Works and Housing sectors to

collaborate on innovative solutions and chart a course towards a more sustainable and resilient future.

Through collaborative efforts and innovative solutions, the conference aims to surmount the challenges presented and pave the way for enduring progress and prosperity in the nation.

Launched in April this year, the conference according to the Chairman, Dr. Armah is a multifaceted responsibility of the Ministry, in driving socio-economic progress and enhancing citizens’ quality of life.

“From addressing the housing deficit to enhancing our flood resilient infrastructure and regulations, the Ministry’s efforts are linked to various sectors, driving socio-economic progress, and enhancing the overall quality of life for citizens,” he noted.
