The family of the late Ghanaian music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has issued a stern warning against the spread of false and defamatory claims about the late artiste.

In a press statement released on August 1 by their legal representatives, Baba Jamal & Associates, the Fosu family expressed concern over “various videos, public statements and social media posts” alleging unverified claims against the celebrated musician, who passed away recently.

The family called on any individual with “genuine and verifiable claims” concerning the late musician to present them directly to their legal counsel for resolution. “All such claims will be resolved amicably,” the statement assured, emphasizing a commitment to transparency and dignity.

Legal counsel for the family, Fati Ali Yallah Esq., further cautioned individuals and media outlets against publishing defamatory or misleading content. The statement warned that anyone found engaging in such acts would face legal consequences.

“We urge the general public to act with respect and decorum as we mourn and prepare to bid a befitting farewell to this colossus of a musician,” the statement concluded.

Daddy Lumba, known for his exceptional contributions to highlife music, remains a revered figure in Ghana’s music history. His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from fans and fellow musicians nationwide.
