The Ministry of Interior has entreated security services to direct recruitment applications to their respective Agencies.
In a press statement signed by Mrs Adelaide Anno-Kumi, Chief Director and on behalf of the Minister of Interior, she stated that the Ministry has observed that following the advertisements in the media for recruitment namely the Ghana Police Service, the Ghana Immigration Service, the Ghana Prisons Service and the Ghana National Fire Service on 21stย August 2021, some applicants throng the Ministry of the Interior in an attempt to submit their applications.
The statement directed potential applicants into the security services to process applications online as ordered in the adverts.
The Chief Director also stated that Government is committed to recruiting eligible eleven thousand (11,000) Ghanaians into the various security services as part of its commitment to enhance security as well as to address unemployment challenges in the country so that the youth of this country can be gainfully employed.
She assured the general public that the recruitment will be based on merit and warned applicants to be wary that the Ministry of the Interior does not receive applications on behalf of its Agencies.
“Applicants are also cautioned, however, to be wary of scammers who make demands on them for money ostensibly to help them in the recruitment process.
“The Ministry urges prospective applicants who wish to be recruited into the respective institutions should wait for updates and necessary information on the next steps.” The Statement advised
