The Member of Parliament for Mpraeso Constituency, Mr Davis Ansah Opoku (OPK) has reacted to the dismissal of the Minister of State in charge of Finance at the office of the President, Mr Charles Adu Boahen.
According to the Mpraeso Legislator, it is of no use dismissing Charles Adu Boahen whiles Ken Ofori-Atta continues to remain at post.
Mr Davis Ansah Opoku has, therefore, in his opinion, described the sacking of Charles Adu Boahen as meaningless unless it is linked to the total dismissal of Ken Ofori Atta and his Data Bank doyens.
The MP added that it will be meaningful until the resignation of Ofori Atta and the total liberation of the Finance Ministry from the Data bankers.
The MP was one of the 80 NPP lawmakers who formed a quorum and called for the dismissal of Mr Ken Ofori Atta.
Taking to his official Facebook page, Mr Davis wrote,
“The sacking of Charles Adu Boahen is meaningless unless it is linked to the resignation of Ken Ofori-Atta and the total liberation of the finance ministry from data Bankers”,
President Akufo-Addo through the director of communication at the Presidency terminated the appointment of Mr Charles Boahen after he was alleged to have made some untenable utterances with the name of the Vice President Dr Bawumia to take money from some Tiger Eye PI investigators who posed as business investors in the United Arab Emirates.
Mr Charles Boahen was implicated in the latest investigative piece of the Ghanaian investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas for allegedly asking for $200,000 as an appearance fee to woo the attention of Vice President Dr Bawumia in the establishment of a supposed business in the country.
