Chief of Subiri Nkwanta who double as Mawerehene of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Council, Nana Kofi Affi III has warned Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai residents against building in floods prone areas which has always caused flooding in some parts of the municipality.

Nana Affi indicated that it was becoming difficult to control flooding within the municipality due to the attitude of some persons who continue to build in unauthorised places, blocking natural paths of flash floods during rainfall.

He made this observation during a press conference held at Sefwi Subiri Nkwanta.

“Some communities in our municipality were sometimes found blocking watercourse or in a water-lock area, which made it difficult to control the flow of rainwater and check flooding.” He added
