Information reaching myrepubliconline.com indicates that some angry residents of Atwima Nkorang community in the Atwima Nwabiagya South District of the Ashanti Region have warned the Member of Parliament for the area, Mr Agyei Anwhere and his District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Amoa Awuku not to come to their community to campaign.
According to the residents, these two politicians have failed to deliver on their promise of constructing a good road network linking the community.
“We are disappointment in the MP, DCE and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for failing to deliver on their campaign promises of tarring the road system in the area,” they stated.
A resident, Mr Osei Wayo told the news portal how the community struggles to transport people to the hospital including pregnant women due to the poor nature of their road network.
“We voted for the NPP because the party promised to repair our poor road as well as construct a bridge for us but for the past six years nothing has been done,” Mr Wayo stated.
The community which is predominantly farmers cannot even transport their farm produce to the various markets due to the poor road network. No driver wants to put his vehicle on that stretch of the road as farm produce are rotting.
“We are patiently waiting for them in 2024, if they value their lives, they shouldn’t dare to enter the community to embark on campaign.”
