A former deputy Finance Minister under the erstwhile John Mahama administration has indicated that it is now prudent for Dr. Bawumia to respond to the 230 questions on the country’s economy he posed to him before the 2020 general elections.

Mr. Ricketts-Hagan has challenged Dr. Bawumia to answer the questions before the 2024 general elections, if indeed he’s the economic wizkid.

He made the comments on the TV XYZ Gumbe Show when reacting to questions on the chances of Dr. Bawumia, the newly elected flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), going into the 2024 polls.

He reiterated that he has listened to Dr. Bawumia’s town hall speeches prior to the 2012–2016 election and has found a number of issues raised concerning the economy that were quite disturbing and factually inaccurate.

The MP for Cape Coast South said that although Dr. Bawumia is entitled to his opinion, he cannot be entitled to his facts.

Mr. Ricketts-Hagan stressed that he would be extremely grateful for Dr. Bawumia to give answers to his questions “hopefully before December 7, 2024”.
