The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Yofi Grant, who served in the role until December 30, 2024.
Dr. Brempong brings a wealth of experience in business development, healthcare, and strategic partnerships.
She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the University College of London, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Although trained as a pharmacist, Dr. Brempong has built a distinguished career as an innovative business leader, founding and leading successful companies in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and commodity sectors. Before her new appointment, she served as the CEO of Makhealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and held executive leadership positions at Synergy Commodities Ltd. and D-Amphora Ltd.
A strong advocate for the growth of Ghana’s health economy, Dr. Brempong believes that increasing investments in healthcare will be crucial for the country’s socio-economic development.
She has expressed her commitment to enhancing Ghana’s business environment and strengthening the country’s position as a leading investment destination in Africa.
Her appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to GIPC,
