Dr Bryan Acheampong to kick-start Eastern Regional campaign on September 24

New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate hopeful, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, will begin his Eastern Regional campaign on Thursday, September 24, as part of widest efforts in securing victory in the party’s forthcoming Presidential Primaries slated for January 31, 2026.

The Abetifi Lawmaker made the announcement at a Press briefing held at the Prestigious Rock City Hotel in Nkwatia-Kwahu on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

The campaign is a one-month undiluted engagement with party delegates, who will partake in the selection of a new Presidential candidate for the NPP.

As part of the engagement, Dr. Bryan Acheampong will meet with some 800 party delegates at Nkwatia-Kwahu durbar on Thursday morning, September 18, where he will later meet additional delegates later through to the weekend.

The MP will commence his Regional tour from Abirem Constituency, a major starting point of his campaign.

He noted at the press briefing that, within one month, he will visit three constituencies daily in order to synchronize his campaign message properly with the delegates.

Among his message for party faithfuls is unity. Dr. Bryan Acheampong has been preaching since he joined the lists of the NPP Presidential hopefuls. He believes that, NPP’s current situation requires a new face and fresh brain to secure victory for the party in the 2028 General elections.

He has announced three top-tier priority for Ghana if given the opportunity to become flagbearer and subsequently lead the nation. Part of these ideas are Infrastructure, Security and Jobs creation for the Ghanaian Youth.

As an IT magnet, Dr. Bryan Acheampong describes himself as the ‘real digital man’s who has mastered all the techniques in IT, information systems and security intelligence.

His attribution as an established kwahu-business native cannot be overlooked. He has established several successful companies, ranging from Tourism, IT, Real Estate and Media. His vast expertise across all sectors puts him ahead of his peers as the best person to lead the NPP party and Ghana in general.

The immediate-past Agric Minister filed his nomination forms on Wednesday, August 28 at the NPP headquarters in Asylum Down following an earlier post on Facebook on Tuesday, August 27, announcing the filing of his forms. He was accustomed to a large crowd, cheering and chanting his name.

Dr. Bryan Acheampong is one of the officially-known faces to contest for the New Patriotic Party’s 2026 Presidential Primaries.

He comes with experience, focus on youth, Job creation, Agric and high-standard governance to articulate the potential of the ordinary Ghanaian.

On Thursday, August 29, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) confirmed that five aspirants have successfully filed their nomination forms to contest in the party’s upcoming presidential primary.
In a statement issued by the Presidential Elections Committee , the aspirants were listed as follows:

Ing. Kwabena Agyei Agyepong

Hon. Ken Ohene Agyapong

Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong

H.E. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia

Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum

The Committee recalled that nominations were officially opened on July 29, 2025, by the General Secretary on behalf of the National Council for party members interested in vying for the flagbearer slot.

Secretary to the Committee, William Yamoah, assured stakeholders of a transparent, credible, and fair electoral process, guided by the party’s constitution and regulations.
