DRA GH Ltd a Mining Consultancy Firm and a member of the Ghana Chamber of Mines has on Tuesday, 12th July 2022 donated an amount of $10,000 an equivalent of over GH¢79,000 to the Apiate Support Fund Committee as their contribution towards the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the Apiate community.
Speaking on behalf of the Country Director, Mr Augustine Okyere, the Mechanic Engineer with DRA GH Ltd, Mr Solomon Asemdi, expressed his appreciation to the Chamber of Mines for coordinating and making it possible for them to donate their widow’s mite.
He applauded the Chairman and members of the Committee for the good work done so far and also thanked them for the opportunity given their institution to be part of such a worthy cause.
The Chairman of the Apiate Support Fund Committee, Rev. Dr Joyce Aryee said the monies being collected are strictly for the reconstruction of the Apiate Community while noting that the Apiate Reconstruction Implementation Team has made great progress since the start of the project.
She added that ” I am very happy with what we have received so far but we still need more to get the work done”
Rev. Joyce Aryee noted that for transparency sake, the team has decided not to save the monies collected at Cal Bank as they have a member of the Committee heading the bank.
She, together with her team presented an appreciation letter to Mr Solomon Asemdi for his company’s contribution to support the Fund and the Apiate Community.
