A driver of a KIA Bongo car survived a near-fatal accident on the Dzorwulu-Airport stretch of the N1 Highway on Friday, August 20, 2023.
The driver, who was heading towards the airport junction, rammed into a stationery KIA Rhino truck with registration number GE 4053 20 at 335 Junction.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver left the malfunctioning KIA Rhino truck loaded with concrete blocks on the road without any warning triangle to alert cars.
“The truck had no warning triangle and since the KIA Bongo vehicle driver was driving at a top speed he all of a sudden run into the truck”. An eyewitness told Republic Press
When passers-by pulled the driver of the mangled KIA Bongo car with registration number GC 4395 20 out of the vehicle, he had a deep cut on his left eye.
He was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital where he was treated at the Emergency Unit.
The driver of the KIA Rhino is currently on the run.
