Three persons have been confirmed dead in an accident at Nankese in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region on Friday, 12th February, 2022.
Nine others are said to have sustained various degrees of injuries in the crash involving a Toyota vehicle with Registration number GR 5766-21, and a Hyundai Grace (H100) car with registration number WR 838-14.
According to an eyewitness, the accident occurred when the Toyota vehicle heading to Suhum from Koforidua crashed with the Hyundai Grace (H100) car who made an overtaking.
Three persons in the Hyundai car, including the driver died on the spot while nine others got seriously injured.
The injured people have been transferred from Koforidua Roman Catholic Hospital to Korle-Bu Teaching hospital in Accra for treatment.
